The BUMN Management Agency (BP BUMN) along with Daya Anindya Nusantara (Danantara) are currently accelerating the transformation of state-owned banks. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) is the main focus in the current agenda of business strategy evaluation and corporate action plans.

This step began with a strategic meeting between the Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, and BNI's board of directors on Friday (3/7). The meeting specifically analyzed the company's performance, mapped out its future business direction, and finalized the corporate action plans to be executed soon by the issuer traded under the stock code BBNI.

In his directive, Dony Oskaria emphasized the importance of BNI expanding its financing portfolio in productive sectors. This step is considered crucial for the bank to deliver a more significant impact on accelerating national economic growth amid increasingly complex market challenges.

In addition to expanding the financing sector, strengthening synergy within the state-owned enterprise (BUMN) ecosystem is a top priority. This synergy is expected to create stronger business fundamentals for BNI, keeping the company competitive, adaptive, and able to maintain sustainable growth in both the national and global banking arenas.

Dony reiterated that optimizing the bank's intermediation function is the primary key to supporting national development. Through careful evaluation, BNI is expected to expand its business capacity while creating greater added value for the country and society in a sustainable manner.
