Tual Naval Base (Lanal) together with KRI Panah-626 held a social service action in the form of free health checkups for coastal communities in Maluku. The event, which took place at R.E. Martadinata Pier, targeted one hundred fishermen residing in Tual City and Southeast Maluku Regency on Tuesday (7/7/2026).
Commander of Tual Naval Base, Navy Colonel (P) Andik Putro Wibowo, stated that this initiative is an integral part of the Segara Purla Operation of the 2026 TNI Papua Task Force. According to him, the presence of the Indonesian Navy in the Maluku region is not limited to law enforcement and sovereignty security tasks, but also focuses on delivering a positive impact on the welfare of maritime residents.
This health service also serves as a tangible implementation of the national program 'Aku Cinta Laut 2026' (I Love the Sea 2026). Through a humanistic approach, the Indonesian Navy positions fishermen as strategic partners in maintaining maritime security stability and preserving Indonesia's aquatic ecosystems. This synergy is expected to strengthen the unity between military personnel and the people.
The humanitarian action was directly led by the Logistics Assistant of the Navy Combat Group (Aslog Guspurla) of Fleet Command III, Navy Colonel (T) Sulis Yudho Prasetyo. The execution of the event was accompanied by officers from Guspurla Fleet Command III and the Commander of KRI Panah-626, Navy Lieutenant Colonel (P) Yudha Himawan, as a form of full support for the welfare of the maritime community in the region.
