Indonesian National Team main striker Ole Romeny is set to remain in the top flight of Dutch football, the Eredivisie. While several other naturalized players have chosen to continue their careers in Indonesia's Liga 1, Romeny has taken a different path by agreeing to join Fortuna Sittard.
The news grew stronger after the player reportedly completed a series of medical tests as a mandatory procedure prior to the official contract signing. According to reports, Romeny will be signed to a two-season contract, which includes an option for a one-season extension.
The decision of the Dutch-Indonesian player to stay in Europe is viewed as a strategic step to maintain the quality and standard of his performance. With this move, Romeny is expected to continue making a maximum contribution to Fortuna Sittard while maintaining his fitness and sharpness as the main forward for the Garuda squad on the international stage.
