The Family Welfare Movement (TP PKK) of Tasikmalaya City has officially received a national-level award from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The appreciation was presented during the peak commemoration of the 54th PKK Unity Movement Day (HKG) at the Claro Hotel, Makassar, on Saturday (11/07/2026).
The award, received directly by the Chairperson of the Tasikmalaya City TP PKK, dr. Elvira Kamarrow Putri, recognizes the region's commitment to accelerating the reduction in the number of zero-dose children. This initiative is considered successful in strengthening strategic collaboration between the local government, the Health Department, and PKK cadres at the sub-district level.
Data records significant success in this program, where out of a total of 1,193 children who had not previously received basic immunization in 2025, 1,070 children were successfully reached. Thus, the vaccination coverage rate in the region reached 89.69 percent.
This success is inseparable from the active role of TP PKK in providing education and intensive guidance to families. This proactive step has become an important driving force for national programs in providing optimal health protection for children from an early age.
Moving forward, the Tasikmalaya City TP PKK is committed to continuing this synergy. This step is projected as a sustainable effort in family empowerment to foster a healthier and more resilient generation in preparation for Indonesia Golden 2045.
