The city of Palu is preparing to welcome the excitement of the Central Sulawesi Nusantara People's Festival 2026, scheduled to take place over six days, from July 14 to 19, 2026. Located at Immanuel Field on Jalan Prof. Moh. Yamin, this folk festival, open to the public free of charge, is designed to unite entertainment, sports, culture, and the empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Faradiba Zaenong, explained that this grand event serves as a space for community togetherness as well as a catalyst for regional economic growth. Through the active involvement of local entrepreneurs and various communities, the festival is expected to generate significant economic activity in Central Sulawesi.

A variety of exciting events have been prepared to entertain visitors. These include joint football viewing, a culinary festival and MSME market, a music entertainment stage, as well as fitness activities such as a Zumba Party and Fun Aerobics. Furthermore, the committee is holding various creative competitions, such as creative gymnastics, line dance, creative dero dance, domino tournaments, solo singing competitions, and photography contests with millions of rupiah in prizes.

The organization of this festival represents a close collaboration among Kodam XIII/Palaka Wira, the Central Sulawesi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), and the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government. This cross-sector synergy involving communities and civic organizations is expected to strengthen relations between government ranks, business players, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and the public in steering regional development.

Faradiba hopes that this event will not merely serve as seasonal entertainment, but will be able to deliver a concrete impact on public welfare. This active collaboration stands as a symbol of optimism and mutual cooperation in highlighting regional potential while promoting a healthy lifestyle and preserving local cultural values.
