Welcoming National Children's Day (HAN) 2026, Dharma Wanita Persatuan of the National Civil Service Agency (DWP BKN) in collaboration with the Association of Early Childhood Education Activists (PP PAUD) organized a National Webinar themed "Embrace Their Hearts, Grow Their Potential". This educational agenda was specifically designed to equip parents, educators, and civil servants (ASN) with a deep understanding of the importance of maintaining children's mental health as the primary foundation of their growth and development.
The event, which was broadcast online via the official BKN YouTube channel, was attended by members of DWP BKN management, PAUD educators, and ASNs from both the BKN Headquarters and Regional Offices across Indonesia. The presence of these various elements is expected to strengthen collective awareness of the importance of parenting styles oriented towards the emotional well-being of children in both family and government institution environments.
Chairperson of DWP BKN, Ninuk Triyanti, emphasized that academic achievement is not the sole measure of a child's success. According to her, mental health plays a crucial role in forming basic character, building self-confidence, and improving children's adaptability in the future. A parenting approach full of affection and unconditional acceptance is considered the main key to maximizing a child's best potential.
In the forum, DWP BKN formulated concrete steps that can be applied in early childhood parenting. First, parents are encouraged to provide a safe space for children to express their emotions without fear of judgment, and strictly avoid both verbal and physical violence. Second, the importance of aligning parenting patterns between the school (PAUD) and the home environment to provide consistent parenting values for the child's psychology.
The closing step focuses on developing children's unique potential by providing moral support without comparing them with other children. Through strong synergy between families, educational institutions, and related stakeholders, it is hoped that the nation's next generation can grow into resilient, intelligent individuals with character and global competitiveness towards Golden Indonesia.
