Search efforts for two teenagers from Krinjing Village, Watumalang District, Wonosobo Regency, reported missing on Mount Bismo, continue to be intensified. As of the eighth day following the missing person report on June 30, 2026, the whereabouts of Alfin Nurrohmat (18) and Yufaidin (15) remain a mystery to the rescue team.

In response to the lack of significant leads, the joint SAR team decided to extend the search operation for three days starting Thursday (9/7/2026). Dani Fitra Maulana, Coordinator of the Wonosobo Basarnas Post, stated that field strategy is now focused on previously hard-to-reach areas, particularly vertical cliff areas and around waterfalls on the mountain slopes.

Extremely steep terrain and dense vegetation pose the main challenges for field personnel. To overcome these obstacles, the search operation has been reinforced with 100 joint SAR personnel. Technical support has also been enhanced with the deployment of two K9 sniffer dogs and two drone units for aerial surveillance.

The deployment of drone technology is aimed at supporting *vertical rescue* and *rope access* techniques in high-risk areas. Wonosobo Basarnas continues to urge the public to pray for the smooth progress of the evacuation process so that the two teenagers can be found safe soon.
