The recreation, sports, and culture sector in Semarang City showed an upward trend in costs in June 2026. Based on data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), this expenditure group recorded inflation of 0.29 percent compared to the previous month.

This condition represents a significant change compared to the performance in May 2026, which experienced deflation of -0.62 percent. The rise in inflation in June also places this group among the inflation contributors in the Semarang City area.

In detail, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the recreation, sports, and culture category in the capital of Central Java stood at 103.77 in June 2026, up from 103.47 in the previous month. On a year-on-year basis, inflation in this sector reached 0.67 percent, while year-to-date growth was recorded at 0.57 percent.

Among the 12 expenditure groups monitored by BPS in Semarang City, the recreation, sports, and culture sector ranked fourth on the regional inflation scale. Nationally, Semarang City ranked 43rd out of 106 regencies/cities analyzed regarding the inflation rate for this subgroup.
