The Women's Empowerment and Family Welfare Bureau (PPKK) of the Regional Board of the Indonesian Islamic Dawah Institute (LDII) of North Kalimantan Province initiated a concrete step in supporting public health quality. This free health counseling and check-up activity was held specifically for women at the Babul Haq Mosque, Karang Rejo Village, Tarakan City, on Sunday (28/6).
The Head of the PPKK Bureau, Suri, emphasized that a mother's physical and mental condition is the main foundation for creating a prosperous family. According to her, understanding early detection of health disorders and implementing a healthy lifestyle are important assets for women in carrying out their dual roles, both within the household and in the social environment.
On this occasion, participants not only received health education but were also provided with direct health screening services. Suri, who is also a midwife by profession, stated that this initiative is a combination of theoretical education and practical medical services, which is expected to have a sustainable impact on the well-being of the residents.
This activity also serves as a means to strengthen ties and increase the spirit of caring among organization members and the wider community. The organizers are committed to continuing to promote similar agendas so that the reach of healthcare services for women can expand, thereby creating a healthier, more insightful, and harmonious community ecosystem.
