PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) has reaffirmed its position as the engine of the people's economy through a solid financial performance. In the 2026 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) held on Friday (10/4/2026), the company officially approved a cash dividend distribution of IDR 52.1 trillion, or IDR 346.00 per share, for the 2025 financial year. This historical figure marks the largest dividend ever distributed in the history of the state-owned bank.
This achievement is backed by a consolidated net profit of IDR 57.132 trillion for the 2025 financial year. President Director of BRI, Hery Gunardi, stated that this massive dividend reflects the company's commitment to delivering value to shareholders and making a significant contribution to the state treasury.
Under the supervision of Danantara, BRI is accelerating its transformation program, "BRIVolution Reignite." The primary focus of this transformation includes strengthening the funding structure, digitalizing services through the BRImo and Qlola applications, and increasing efficiency in the cost of funds, which was successfully lowered to 2.3 percent in the first quarter of 2026.
BRI's positive performance is reflected not only in profitability but also in the sustainability of its intermediation function. As of May 2026, the bank has distributed People's Business Credit (KUR) amounting to IDR 84.36 trillion, nearly half of its annual target. Furthermore, BRI continues to expand its support for public housing by increasing the KPP allocation to IDR 12 trillion to meet the community's housing financing needs.
Responding to this transformation, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara and Head of the SOE Regulatory Agency, Dony Oskaria, highly praised the performance of Himbara (state-owned) banks. According to him, the synergy built under Danantara's supervision has proven capable of driving national economic growth, particularly in boosting productive sectors such as MSMEs, downstream natural resources, and broad job creation.
Through the spirit of "One Bank for All" introduced in its corporate rebranding, BRI is optimistic about maintaining this growth momentum. With a business foundation that is now far more diversified, with subsidiary entities contributing 25.1 percent to net profit, BRI is ready to face future economic challenges while keeping its DNA of supporting the people at the forefront.
