The Health Office of Pulang Pisau Regency made use of the momentum of the 24th Anniversary celebration of Pulang Pisau Regency by hosting a health service booth at the Handep Hapakat Fair 2026. Located at the H. Muhammad Sanusi Stadium Complex, the booth attracted many visitors seeking free health consultations and direct disease prevention education.

Since its official opening on July 6, 2026, medical staff at the booth have actively provided insights on communicable disease prevention as well as the control of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and heart disease. This step serves as the regional government's preventive strategy to reduce morbidity rates in the community by improving health literacy.

Head of the Pulang Pisau Regency Health Office, dr. Ellyana, M.M., explained that the booth's presence is not merely a development expo formality, but a concrete action to encourage the community to adopt a healthy lifestyle. According to her, early prevention is far more effective than treatment.

"We hope the public can utilize the services at this Health Office booth to update their health information. Through consistent education, it is hoped that awareness of adopting a clean and healthy lifestyle can be embedded in daily activities," said dr. Ellyana on Sunday (July 12, 2026).

The high number of visitors to the booth demonstrates the community's growing enthusiasm and concern for their quality of health. The Pulang Pisau Regency Government is committed to continuing to provide friendly, informative, and easily accessible public services for all levels of society in future regional events.
