Students of the Undergraduate Information Technology Study Program at STMIK PGRI Arungbinang Kebumen (STMIK Kebumen) have achieved a proud milestone by launching three innovative applications based on artificial intelligence (AI). These works are the result of implementing the Project-Based Learning (PBL) teaching method, which aims to hone students' technical skills in solving real-world problems in society.
The course lecturer, Ammar Fauzan, M.Kom., explained that this method was intentionally integrated into the curriculum so that students are not just focused on classroom theory. Through this project challenge, students were encouraged to produce digital solutions that are relevant, applicable, and have a direct impact on users.
The three successfully introduced applications include Smart Financial Planner, a financial planning tool for out-of-town students capable of automatically monitoring the health of budget management. In addition, there is also Ringkas AI, an application designed to assist learning efficiency by summarizing long text materials into essential points in a short time.
The third innovation, NewsCraft AI, is specifically aimed at content creators and the media industry. This system is capable of automating the production of news text with various writing styles that can be customized according to needs. These three applications represent a step forward for students in adopting cutting-edge technology to answer challenges in the digital era.
The Head of STMIK Kebumen, Muhyat AS, highly appreciated this achievement. He emphasized that his institution is committed to continuing to be a technology incubator that births sustainable innovation. As a pioneer in technology education in the Southern Central Java region, STMIK Kebumen continues to strive to produce globally competitive graduates, along with plans to develop four new study programs in the future.
