All factions in the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Gunung Mas Regency unanimously approved two strategic Draft Regional Regulations (Raperda) submitted by the Gunung Mas Regency Government. This agreement was reached during the 4th Plenary Meeting of Session Period III for the 2026 Legislative Year held in Kuala Kurun on Monday (July 6, 2026).
Speaker of the Gunung Mas DPRD, Binartha, stated that six factions—comprising Golkar Party, PDI Perjuangan, Perindo, Demokrat, NasDem, and the National Combined Faction (PAN and Gerindra)—granted full approval. This collective support was marked by the signing of a joint agreement between the legislative and executive branches.
The two approved regulations include the Draft Regulation on the Accountability for the Implementation of the Fiscal Year 2025 Regional Budget (APBD) and the Draft Regulation on Guidelines for the Management of Regional Property. Binartha explained that the discussion process for both rules involved constructive dialogue, with each faction providing notes and recommendations to refine future regional policies.
Furthermore, Binartha emphasized that the Budget Accountability Draft Regulation is a tangible manifestation of the government's commitment to accountability in public financial management. Meanwhile, the Regional Property Management Draft Regulation is viewed as a crucial instrument for creating orderly, transparent, and accountable asset governance.
Following approval in the plenary session, the documents will immediately undergo administrative procedures in accordance with statutory regulations before being enacted into Regional Regulations (Perda). The plenary meeting was directly attended by the Regent of Gunung Mas, Jaya S. Monong, along with regional officials and members of the local Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).
