Facing a high-interest rate era that demands strict efficiency, PT BRI Multifinance Indonesia (BRI Finance) is implementing strategic measures to maintain a balance between business growth and profitability levels. The financing (multifinance) industry is currently being tested by a surge in cost of funds, along with the necessity to maintain the quality of credit portfolios amidst national economic fluctuations.

Corporate Secretary of BRI Finance, Aditia Fakhri Ramadhani, revealed that interest rate fluctuations are one of the main external factors regularly monitored by the company. This is because interest rate movements have a direct impact on the operational cost burden structure of the financing industry as a whole.

To minimize this impact, BRI Finance focuses on optimizing the management of funding costs, increasing operational efficiency, and applying prudential principles in credit disbursement. This step is taken so that the company remains highly competitive without sacrificing the quality of its assets.

On the liabilities side, this subsidiary of BRI is diversifying its funding sources through a combination of bank loans, debt securities issuance (bonds), and strengthening joint financing schemes with its parent company, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. The pricing strategy is also continuously evaluated on a regular basis to remain competitive and in line with the debtors' financial capacity.

In addition to securing funding positions, risk management is tightened through a more solid underwriting process to suppress the Non-Performing Financing (NPF) ratio. Business process digitalization efforts also continue to be accelerated to deliver faster, more efficient, and reliable services to customers.

These various internal improvement efforts have had a positive impact on the company's financial performance. As of May 2026, BRI Finance recorded a significant year-on-year (YoY) growth in financing disbursement of 59.32 percent. This achievement serves as crucial capital for the company to continue growing healthily and sustainably amidst financial market uncertainty.
