A simple technological breakthrough has now become an effective solution for hundreds of teachers and students in Hung Yen Province, Vietnam, in practicing proper pronunciation. This web-based application was developed by Nguyen Tuan Hiep, an Electrical and Computer Engineering student, who was inspired by the challenges faced by his mother while teaching a pronunciation correction program for the consonants L and N at a local school.
Starting from the 2025-2026 school year, schools in Hung Yen began integrating a pronunciation improvement curriculum. Realizing the need for a practical tool, Hiep designed software that prioritizes ease of access. Users do not need to go through a complicated account registration process; simply by accessing a browser, the application can be used directly on various devices with a user-friendly interface.
In its development, Hiep actively involved teaching staff to ensure that the available features truly meet the needs of the classroom. Currently, more than 300 teachers have utilized this application as a supporting medium. A teacher at Hung Dao Primary and Secondary School, Nguyen Dang Huyen Trang, revealed that the application is highly helpful for students to practice independently for 40 minutes after the lesson session ends.
Despite receiving positive responses, educators hope that the development of this application will continue. They suggest adding more varied practice materials, such as context-based real texts, short sentences, and visual illustrations themed around daily life. With targeted technological support, efforts to improve students' communication skills are expected to run more optimally and sustainably.
