Ahead of the weekend, the Gunung Mas Police increased the intensity of supervision through security patrols in the Kuala Kurun area on Saturday (11/07/2026). This strategic step was taken as a preventive measure to anticipate potential public order disturbances amidst increased resident mobility during the holiday.
A joint team consisting of the Pamapta II Duty Unit and Functional Duty Units combed several vital objects, including the gas station on Jalan Pangeran Diponegoro and the banking area on Jalan Jendral Soeprapto. The presence of officers at these locations aimed to ensure that community economic activities, both fueling up and financial transactions, proceeded smoothly and orderly.
In addition to public facilities, officers also visited the Kuala Kurun Old Market. On this occasion, the police prioritized a humanistic approach by engaging in direct dialogue with traders and residents, fostering two-way communication to strengthen relations between the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and local civilians.
First Inspector (Ipda) Sumber Nadi, representing Gunung Mas Police Chief Police Grand Attendant (AKBP) Heru Eko Wibowo, stated that the police presence on the ground represents the institution's commitment to providing a sense of security. According to him, this patrol is not merely a routine procedure, but a proactive effort so that the public can carry out their activities peacefully without fear of potential criminal acts.
Furthermore, Ipda Sumber Nadi emphasized that the deployed personnel also act as a rapid response team. With officers on standby in crowded areas, responses to emergency situations that may arise within the community can be carried out more efficiently and promptly. Until the end of the activity, the situation in the Kuala Kurun area was monitored to be safe, orderly, and conducive.
