The Indonesian comedy scene is once again shrouded in grief. Senior comedian Simson Rarameha Ngadang, better known by his stage name Temon Templar, reportedly passed away on Sunday morning (12/7/2026) at around 08:42 WIB. The 59-year-old took his last breath at the hospital after being rushed there following a sudden heart attack.
The family stated that the deceased had a history of hypertension over the past few years. Currently, his body is lying in state at the funeral home in the Pondok Karya area, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta. The funeral procession is scheduled to take place on Monday morning (13/7/2026) at the Tanah Kusir Public Cemetery (TPU) in South Jakarta.
Born in 1966, the alumnus of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Indonesia began his career in the entertainment world as a broadcaster for SK Radio in 1992. However, his name truly skyrocketed on the national television scene after pairing up with Abdel Achrian in the popular sitcom "Abdel dan Temon Bukan Superstar" in 2008. Temon's humorous, absurd character, who was often struck by bad luck, successfully won the hearts of viewers. In addition to comedy, he also ventured into the music world by releasing a song titled "Raja Disko" in 2014.
Temon's departure leaves a deep sadness for his colleagues and fans. His close friend and loyal screen partner, Abdel Achrian, expressed his deep condolences via social media. Abdel remembered the deceased as an exceptionally talented friend who had colored his life journey and career in the Indonesian entertainment industry.
