The Bekasi City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) is actively encouraging Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to expand their business reach through franchise partnership systems. This strategic step is expected to trigger the transformation of local MSMEs so they not only survive at a small scale but are able to systematically scale up.
This initiative was initiated by the Vice Chairman of Bekasi City KADIN, Aji Ali Sabana, who designed a collaborative program involving product exhibitions and promotions in various modern shopping centers, one of which is at Grand Galaxy Park (GGP) Bekasi City. This acceleration program is designed as a bridge for local business actors to introduce their brands to a wider market.
The idea received the full blessing of the Chairman of Bekasi City KADIN, Qadar Ruslan Siregar. He emphasized that business development through a franchise system is not merely an effort to attract capital or new investors. Its core essence is to guide MSMEs in building structured business governance, having clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and brand strength that can be replicated in other regions.
According to Qadar, the franchise scheme creates a mutually beneficial relationship (symbiosis). The original business owners can expand their market network without the full operational burden, while investing partners get a proven and ready-to-run business model. To facilitate this, KADIN is committed to organizing regular business matching events as a meeting point for business actors and potential investors.
This MSME strengthening step is considered highly relevant to the emergence of new economic growth centers in Bekasi. This was conveyed by KADIN board members while monitoring the progress of the Waste-to-Energy (PSEL) National Strategic Project (PSN) in Bantargebang. KADIN is committed to aligning its programs with the local government's vision of developing modern satellite areas.
Bekasi City KADIN hopes that the presence of local strategic projects will not marginalize local business actors. With strong business capacity through the franchise system, Bekasi MSMEs are expected to become major players enjoying the fruits of regional economic growth, rather than merely being spectators in their own home.
