Hoang Thi Minh Phuong, an author from the Department of Basic Sciences at Army Officer School 2 in Dong Nai, achieved a proud milestone by winning an award in the writing contest titled 'Warm and Loving Family Meals'. Her touching work entitled 'Eating with an Empty Chair' successfully captivated the judges among thousands of entries.
The two-month competition garnered extraordinary enthusiasm from the public, as evidenced by the submission of over 65,000 entries from across the country and the Vietnamese diaspora abroad. The panel of judges subsequently screened the entries and selected nine main winners, consisting of first, second, third place winners, and three consolation prize recipients, including Ms. Phuong.
This literary event is considered to play a crucial role in strengthening the narrative on the importance of family values amid modern trends. Through the collected writings, the competition successfully highlighted that the culture of dining together remains a strong foundation for maintaining harmony and preserving the noble tradition of Vietnamese families in an ever-changing era.
