The National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) of Kediri Regency, together with KONI of Kediri City, is stepping on the gas to finalize plans as co-hosts for the 11th East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov XI), scheduled for 2029.
In the second coordination phase, sports authorities in the Greater Kediri region have begun drawing up a comprehensive infrastructure mapping. These efforts include identifying match venues, dividing sports disciplines to be contested, and exploring collaboration opportunities with neighboring regions to ensure the success of the largest multi-sport event at the provincial level.
General Chairperson of KONI Kediri Regency, Hakim Rahmadsyah Parnata, revealed that his side has designed technical requirements for 40 sports disciplines planned to be centered at various strategic locations across Kediri Regency. This early arrangement is being carried out to ensure all facilities meet feasibility standards for athletes and officials.
Furthermore, Hakim emphasized his region's commitment to providing representative and comfortable sports facilities. This proactive step was taken as part of Kediri's responsibility to deliver optimal service to all competing contingents, while simultaneously strengthening the sports ecosystem in East Java.
