The trend of pushbike or balance bike sports among children is increasingly demonstrating its dominance. This was proven by the successful hosting of a straight-track racing competition participated in by 400 young participants in the Cikarang area on July 4–5, 2026.
The high enthusiasm of the participants bore sweet fruit with the awarding of a record from the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI). This competition was officially recorded as the "Straight-Track Balance Bike Race with the Most Child Participants" after undergoing a rigorous verification process of all competing participants.
Pushbike sport itself is gaining popularity as it is considered effective in training children's balance, motor coordination, and self-confidence from an early age. In this event, held in collaboration with AFA Event Organizer, Pushbike Karawang successfully won the Exhibition Community Champion title, while Nusantara Pushbike Academy achieved the Best Team predicate.
General Manager of Metland Cikarang, Dhika Mahardhika, stated that this event is part of the developer's commitment to providing space for families to interact while supporting child growth and development. The residential area is designed not only as a place to live, but also as an active, family-friendly ecosystem.
This achievement marks the second accomplishment for the area in a short period, following its previous MURI record for serving the largest amount of grass jelly ice. The hosting of national-scale activities like this is expected to continue strengthening relationships among residents and creating a healthy living environment.
