BANTUL – To provide maximum protection for newly assigned medical personnel, the Bantul District Health Agency (Dinkes) organized a Measles-Rubella (MR) immunization program. The activity, which took place in the Husada Hall of the Bantul Health Agency Office on Thursday (23/7/2026), was aimed at general practitioners and dentists participating in the internship program. The vaccination targeted first-dose participants for the May 2026 assignment period as well as second-dose participants from the previous period.
This preventive measure refers to the Ministry of Health Circular Letter Number HK.02.02/C/1837/2026. As the frontliners interacting directly with patients in various health facilities, these intern doctors are categorized as a group vulnerable to exposure to infectious diseases such as measles and rubella.
The entire vaccination process ran orderly under strict medical service standards. The immunization process started from registration, screening of the participants' physical condition, vaccine injection, to post-immunization monitoring (observation) to anticipate any adverse events following immunization (AEFI).
Through this initiative, the Bantul District Government hopes that medical personnel can carry out their humanitarian duties safely, healthily, and professionally. This program also reinforces the regional government's commitment to suppressing the spread of infectious diseases by strengthening national immunization coverage.
