Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) Station has recorded a positive growth trend since officially operating on June 22, 2026. PT KAI Commuter reported a surge in user numbers of up to 300 percent on weekends compared to weekday passenger volume.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, stated that this increase was triggered by high public interest in using train transportation to access the JIS area. Resident activities were dominated by sports as well as visits to enjoy public spaces available around the stadium.

Based on operational data for the period of June 22–28, 2026, a total of 4,203 passenger movements were recorded at JIS Station. Of that total, 2,555 people departed from this station, while 1,648 were recorded as arriving passengers. The peak occurred on Sunday (June 28), serving 1,271 passengers in a single day.

For comparison, the average number of weekday users remained stable at around 250 people per day. In addition to easy access, public enthusiasm was also driven by a special fare program of Rp1 for Tanjung Priok Commuter Line passengers boarding or alighting at JIS Station. A total of 1,232 passengers took advantage of this promotion during its first week of operation.

Responding to this positive trend, KAI Commuter reaffirmed its commitment to continue coordinating with the government to develop station facilities. It also urged the public to help maintain cleanliness and public facilities for the comfort of all train passengers in the future.
