Optimism surrounds the food and beverage (F&B) industry in Indonesia as it looks forward to 2026. Despite being overshadowed by classic challenges such as fluctuating logistics costs, energy, and raw material availability, the Indonesian Food and Beverage Association (Gapmmi) projects that the sector will be able to record growth of up to 7%. This figure refers to the impressive achievement in the first quarter of this year, which grew by 7.4%.

Chairman of Gapmmi, Adhi S. Lukman, mentioned that the growth dynamics of each subsector in this industry are quite varied. Amidst efforts by business players to maintain competitiveness, government support through regulatory improvements, industrial gas price efficiency, and the relaxation of import duties on plastic raw materials is expected to be an effective stimulus in reducing production costs.

As a concrete step to boost business activity, Panorama Media will organize a large-scale exhibition titled Cafe Brasserie Expo (CBE) on October 9–11, 2026. Carrying the '3-in-1 Mega Ecosystem' concept, this event will synergize CBE with the Franchise & License Expo Indonesia (FLEI) and the Indonesia Outing & Incentive Travel Expo (IOITE) in one strategic venue.

President Director of Panorama Media, Royanto Handaya, explained that this exhibition is designed with a 'Business-Driven Lifestyle Experience' approach. The integration of the modern culinary industry, franchise partnership opportunities, and corporate travel solutions aims to directly connect brand owners with potential investors through a structured B2B Matchmaking program.

Echoing this sentiment, General Secretary of the Indonesian Coffee Association, Dwiki Cahyadi, assessed that this cross-sector collaboration is a crucial momentum for local coffee shop operators. Through the exhibition, which is planned to take place in a developing area like PIK 2, industry players are expected to be able to strengthen their business ecosystem and partnership networks to meet the demands of an increasingly competitive global market.
