Mitsubishi Motors is once again shaking up the automotive market by launching the New Mitsubishi Xforce HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle). This compact SUV comes with cutting-edge hybrid technology designed to automatically optimize fuel efficiency without sacrificing driving performance.
The vehicle's efficiency advantages were directly proven by national racer Rifat Sungkar. During a test session, this eco-friendly SUV successfully recorded an extraordinary mileage, exceeding 1,000 kilometers on just a single full tank of fuel.
Adopting a full hybrid system, the New Xforce HEV can operate using a pure electric motor, a gasoline engine, or a dynamic collaboration of both. The transition between these drive modes is managed entirely automatically by the vehicle's computer, delivering instant acceleration, optimal cabin quietness, and a driving sensation akin to a pure electric vehicle.
To optimize energy consumption, the vehicle is equipped with four primary driving modes. At low speeds or in urban traffic jams, EV Priority Mode will automatically activate to reduce emissions to zero, with a maximum speed of up to 121 km/h. Meanwhile, if the battery power begins to deplete, Serial Mode will start the gasoline engine solely as a generator to charge the battery.
On the other hand, Parallel Hybrid Mode will take over when the vehicle drives fast on highways or when climbing steep hills. In this condition, the gasoline engine directly transmits power to the wheels with the support of the electric motor to keep fuel efficiency at its best level.
