Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment (Menko PM), Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, emphasized the quality of social security services in Indonesia. He ensured that all BPJS Kesehatan participants, including those registered as Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI), receive equal treatment without any discrimination at healthcare facilities.
In his statement on Thursday (7/9/2026), Muhaimin highlighted the government's commitment to allocating up to IDR 47 trillion annually to cover contributions for underprivileged communities. According to him, implementation on the ground shows that hospitals are now providing excellent service without discriminating based on the patient's membership status background.
According to the Coordinating Minister, the success of this social security system is inseparable from the spirit of mutual cooperation involving the active roles of the government, private sector, and public. Mutual support through contribution payments—both independently and sponsored by companies—serves as a primary pillar in maintaining sustainable protection for every citizen when facing health and employment risks.
Furthermore, he urged members of the public who have the financial capacity to remain disciplined in paying their independent contributions. This step is considered not merely an administrative obligation, but a tangible manifestation of social solidarity to ensure the National Health Insurance (JKN) program remains strong and able to reach those in need of medical assistance across the country.
