Global crypto exchange, OKX, has officially expanded its business operations beyond the conventional digital asset trading sector. This strategic move is realized through the launch of OKX AI in beta, a marketplace platform specifically designed to support an autonomous agent ecosystem based on blockchain technology.
This innovative platform integrates two main pillars, namely the Agent Marketplace, which serves as a showcase for AI agent services, and the Task Marketplace, which serves as a hub for digital job postings. OKX Founder and CEO, Star Xu, explained that this step was taken because current financial infrastructure is deemed unable to accommodate the needs of the autonomous software economy.
To ensure transaction security and transparency, OKX implements the use of stablecoins such as USDT and USDG supported by a smart contract escrow system. Users will also be equipped with the OKX Agentic Wallet, a digital wallet that enables the recording of all transaction activities through a persistent on-chain identity.
The development of this project involves collaboration with several leading tech giants and blockchain infrastructure providers, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), CertiK, Ethereum Foundation, and the Solana Foundation. OKX emphasized that although it is currently in a beta phase open to developers, the system will continue to undergo rigorous compliance testing before being widely accessed by the public.
In this ecosystem, dispute resolution between agents no longer relies on a single authority. Instead, OKX implements a decentralized network of evaluators (staked evaluators). Built on OKX's Onchain OS infrastructure, this platform is expected to become a new standard in digital economy transactions in the era of artificial intelligence.
