The Mayor of Makassar, Munafri Arifuddin, welcomed the arrival of the Field Verification Team for the South Sulawesi Province Village and Sub-district Competition at the Poltekes Hall, Gunung Sari Sub-district, Rappocini District, on Monday (27/7/2026). The presence of this verification team aims to assess the eligibility of Gunung Sari, which is favored to become one of the best sub-districts at the provincial level.
The field assessment process was led directly by the Head of the South Sulawesi Community Empowerment Agency (BPM), Muhammad Saleh, serving as the Chairman of the Assessment Team. The event was also attended by the Vice Mayor of Makassar Aliyah Mustika Ilham, Chairperson of the Makassar City TP PKK Melinda Aksa, Regional Secretary of Makassar City Andi Zulkifli Nanda, and several officials within the Makassar City Government.
The series of evaluations began with a presentation of innovations and the regional profile by the Head of Gunung Sari Sub-district, Muhammad Abu Bakar. Following the presentation, the assessment team went directly to the field to match administrative data with real conditions in the local community.
On that occasion, Munafri Arifuddin expressed his confidence that Gunung Sari Sub-district is capable of competing closely and emerging as the winner. He hopes that this sub-district will not only win the competition but also serve as an inspiration for other sub-districts in Makassar to improve their service quality.
