The Padang City Government has opened a golden opportunity for Civil Servants (ASN) to improve their competence through an international cooperation program called Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC). This initiative allows employees to participate in a series of strategic training courses in India without burdening the Regional Budget (APBD).
Various modern disciplines are offered in this program, ranging from Artificial Intelligence (AI) development, machine learning, Python programming language, to specialized fields such as space technology, public health, circular economy, and government financial management. This opportunity is seen as a strategic step to strengthen bureaucratic governance in Padang City.
The Regional Secretary of Padang City, Raju Minropa, officially invited all qualified civil servants to register immediately. The program is viewed as a crucial medium for knowledge transfer to foster innovation in public services that are more efficient and technology-based.
The main advantage of the ITEC program is the funding system, which is fully covered by the Government of India. Selected participants will receive comprehensive facilities, including training fees, round-trip airfare, accommodation, meals, and a daily allowance during the education period.
To apply, civil servant candidates must have a minimum service period of three years and choose a training program relevant to their respective job duties and functions. Registration is open until July 20, 2026, with the hope that the knowledge gained can be implemented concretely to improve the quality of service within the Padang City Government.
