General Chair of the Family Welfare Empowerment Mobilization Team (TP PKK), Tri Tito Karnavian, emphasized the strategic position of the PKK as a key government partner backed by a strong legal foundation under Presidential Regulation No. 99 of 2017. This legal basis guarantees budget support from both the state budget (APBN) and regional budgets (APBD), giving the PKK the legitimacy and real capacity to execute various grassroots development programs.
Tri made the statement while opening a series of activities in Makassar, South Sulawesi, which included an MSME exhibition, free health check-up services, and a simultaneous Multiple Micronutrient Supplement (MMS) pill-taking action for pregnant women that set a MURI record. Tri expressed hope that the PKK will not merely be a passive executor, but rather an initiator of programs aligned with the policies of Regional Government Work Units (OPD) in their respective areas.
Furthermore, Tri instructed PKK administrators to proactively forge partnerships with the private sector through corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. This collaboration is considered crucial to expanding the reach of health services, such as cataract surgeries and free distributions of eyeglasses, which often share similar target achievements in relevant government agencies.
In the economic sector, Tri highly appreciated TP PKK's efforts in nurturing local MSME actors. According to her, empowering family economics is a vital foundation for supporting regional economic stability. Through cross-sector synergy and strengthening the role of cadres in the field, Tri is optimistic that the PKK can make a tangible contribution to preparing quality human resources to realize the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
