PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) and Pertamina EP (PEP) Sangasanga Field are increasingly intensifying their efforts to build closeness with stakeholders in their working areas. A community-based approach through sports was chosen as the main strategy to create a more fluid and inclusive space for interaction outside of formal company agendas.
In Muara Badak District, PHSS held a mini-soccer friendly match bringing together the management and the local Forkopimcam, APDESI, and BPD on Saturday (June 20, 2026). The trofeo format used in the activity successfully became a warm platform for hospitality and building relationships among stakeholders.
The Head of Muara Badak District, Arpan, highly appreciated the initiative. According to him, this activity has been an effective instrument in weaving harmonious communication between the corporate entities and the government officials at the village and district levels during his tenure.
Acting Manager of PHSS Field, Arif Budiman, emphasized that support from the local government and community is a crucial pillar for the smooth operation of upstream oil and gas, which is vital for national energy security. Arif also expressed special appreciation to Arpan for the dedication and cooperation established during his service period.
Echoing PHSS, PEP Sangasanga Field also demonstrated a similar spirit of collaboration through a friendly football match with the amateur club Family FC in Anggana District on July 3, 2026. The match, involving the company's management and local residents, was held with a high spirit of sportsmanship.
Senior Manager of PEP Sangasanga Field, Sigid Setiawan, stated that his team will continue to develop participatory engagement programs. This step is seen as an important foundation for building mutual trust and creating sustainable added value for communities around the company's operational areas.
