The Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police is conducting an in-depth investigation into allegations of similar criminal acts previously occurring at the location where employees of the 'Mau Print' printing shop were confined, on East Kalibaru Street, Senen, Central Jakarta. Police suspect that the violence may be a recurring pattern involving different victims.
Director of General Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, stated that his team is currently gathering additional evidence to reinforce these findings. He emphasized that if sufficient evidence of past legal violations is uncovered, the investigation will be expanded to prosecute the perpetrators to the full extent of the law.
To date, the Central Jakarta Metro Police has named seven individuals as suspects in this case. The suspects, comprising five men and two women with the initials CML and II, are being held at the Central Jakarta Metro Police Detention Center for intensive questioning.
The suspects include individuals with the initials AI, S, AYL, CML, MML, NHJ, and II. For their actions, they are charged under multiple counts related to extortion, issuing threats, unlawful deprivation of liberty, and assault, as stipulated in Republic of Indonesia Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code (KUHP).
