The President Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Prihati Pujowaskito, emphasized that the National Health Insurance (JKN) Program has transformed into a main catalyst for economic growth as well as a pillar of social protection for the public. During the Public Expose 2025 event held in Jakarta, he explained that this program had a tangible impact by increasing the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by IDR 129 trillion.
The domino effect from this health sector was also felt in labor absorption, with the creation of 1.5 million new jobs recorded. The healthcare service sector, food and beverage industry, and social services were the areas most positively impacted. The presence of JKN has also proven effective as a social safety net, with data showing it successfully saved up to 8.1 million residents from the risk of poverty over a certain period.
In terms of governance, BPJS Kesehatan managed to maintain integrity by achieving an Unmodified Opinion (WTM) for 12 consecutive years. The participant satisfaction rate also experienced a significant increase to 92.9 percent, which was balanced by an integrity score of 80.48 from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), confirming the institution's commitment to operational transparency.
To ensure service sustainability, BPJS Kesehatan is now prioritizing promotive and preventive efforts through the Referral Program (Program Rujuk Balik/PRB). To date, more than 4.2 million participants, especially those suffering from hypertension and heart disease, have utilized this service after their medical conditions were declared stable.
Prihati added that his party is fully committed to responding to public needs. All customer complaints, which reached more than 132,000 reports throughout 2025, are claimed to have been one hundred percent resolved. This reinforces JKN's position as a crucial financial protection instrument for the public so they no longer need to worry when facing health risks.
