Festivity filled the Willy M. Yoseph Stadium in Puruk Cahu as thousands of people packed the area to celebrate the peak of Murung Raya Regency's 24th Anniversary commemoration on Saturday (1/8/2026) night. The event, themed "Malam Hiburan Rakyat" (Public Entertainment Night), featured the legendary music group Ungu Band as the main performer, alongside Jakarta-based soloist Faris Adam and a lineup of local Central Kalimantan artists.

The Regent of Murung Raya, Heriyus Midel Yoseph, expressed that this public celebration was held as a form of appreciation and gratitude from the regional government to all elements of society. According to him, the active support and participation of the citizens are crucial pillars in the development achievements that Murung Raya Regency has attained to date.

Representing the Governor of Central Kalimantan, the Provincial Regional Secretary Linae Victoria Aden, who also attended the event, invited the entire community to reflect on the momentum of this anniversary by strengthening the bonds of brotherhood. She reminded that in addition to being a means of recreation, this celebration should serve as a collective reflection to increase unity for regional progress.

Not only providing entertainment, this grand event was also designed to stimulate the local economy. Linae urged visitors to shop at the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) booths set up around the venue, in order to provide a direct economic impact for the local community.
