Efforts to improve the quality of technology-based vocational education have received concrete support from the industrial sector. PT LG Electronics Indonesia has recently completed the renovation of a Multimedia classroom at SMKN 2 South Tangerang, while also providing modern teaching and learning support facilities to align students' skills with current industry needs.
Under this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program titled "LG Loves School", the South Korean electronics manufacturer donated 12 units of 27-inch professional-grade LG 27U411A monitors. These high-specification screens feature an IPS Full HD panel, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 99% sRGB color gamut coverage to support students' digital design practices. In addition, LG also installed three energy-efficient air conditioning (AC) units to maintain classroom comfort.
President of LG Electronics Indonesia, Ha Sang-chul, emphasized that this initiative reflects the company's long-term commitment to strengthening the vocational education system in the country. By providing facilities relevant to current industry trends, LG hopes students will be better prepared to compete in the job market upon graduation.
SMKN 2 South Tangerang was selected due to its status as a Center of Excellence (Pusat Keunggulan), a designation from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology aimed at encouraging the revitalization of vocational education. Principal of SMKN 2 South Tangerang, Akhmad Basuni, expressed his deep appreciation for this support, which he believes will accelerate students' adaptation to cutting-edge technology.
The "LG Loves School" social program itself is part of the global CSR pillar "LG Loves Indonesia," which has been running for over 35 years. In addition to focusing on education, LG actively advocates for environmental sustainability through green initiatives, improving children's literacy, and empowering the wider community to create a better standard of living.
