Healthcare service quality in the Western Pantura region is now further strengthened with the official operation of Harapan Sehat Hospital (RS) in Tegal City. This private healthcare facility was directly inaugurated by the Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi, in an effort to expand medical accessibility for the local community.
Ahmad Luthfi expressed high appreciation for private sector investment, particularly from PT Ati Sri Subekti Sehat, in establishing the hospital. According to him, meeting basic needs such as healthcare is not only the government's responsibility but also requires close collaboration with the business world.
This step is also considered in line with the Central Java Provincial Government's flagship health program, the Mobile Specialist Doctor (Dokter Spesialis Keliling - Speling). This proactive outreach program, which has served more than nine million residents in thousands of villages, is expected to synergize with the presence of this new hospital to overcome the shortage of specialist doctors in the region.
The Director of RS Harapan Sehat Tegal City, Husen Al Rasyid, explained that this Type C hospital is committed to delivering safe, quality, and professional services. A number of specialist services such as obstetrics, pediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, as well as intensive facilities like the ICU and 24-hour Emergency Room (IGD), are ready to operate and serve patients.
Meanwhile, the CEO of RS Harapan Sehat, Muhadi Setia Budi, revealed that the construction of the sixth hospital in their group was driven by the high demand for medical referrals in the Tegal area and its surroundings, including Brebes, Pemalang, and Cirebon. The presence of this new facility is expected to become the community's primary choice for obtaining optimal medical treatment.
