Gunung Jati Regional Hospital (RSD), Cirebon, has confirmed that it provided intensive medical treatment to a woman identified by the initials MAN (30), an alleged victim of violence. The patient, who has been undergoing treatment since July 5, 2026, is currently showing stable and positive progress.
Forensic and Medicolegal Specialist at RSD Gunung Jati, Dr. Beni Ciptawan, explained that handling the victim involved cross-specialist collaboration. The main medical team consists of general surgeons supported by plastic surgeons, internists, and forensic doctors to ensure an optimal recovery process.
In addition to focusing on physical healing through regular bandage changes to stimulate skin tissue growth, the hospital is also providing psychological counseling. This step was taken as part of a commitment to comprehensive services for violence victims, ensuring the patient's mental health is maintained during recovery.
Regarding circulating reports about maggots in the victim's wounds, Dr. Beni strongly denied the claim. He emphasized that the fluid found on the wound was a normal biological response of the tissue healing process, not an indication of larvae.
On the other hand, the victim's legal counsel, Raden Reza Pramadia, expressed appreciation for MAN's improving health. He also confirmed that the victim has received official protection from the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) regarding the alleged violence case involving a suspect with the initial N.
