The Bhabinkamtibmas (Community Police) officers of the Bojong Sector Police, Purwakarta Resort Police, demonstrated their commitment to supporting the improvement of public health quality by attending the opening of the Field Work Practice (PKL) and Student Community Service (KKN) programs for students of Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta III. This community service activity from the Applied Bachelor of Health Promotion study program was centered at GOR Graha Sarotama, Cibingbin Village, Bojong District, Purwakarta Regency.
The opening ceremony was attended by various parties, including the Head of the Purwakarta Regency Health Office, elements of the Bojong district administration, representatives of the Puskesmas (Community Health Center), village apparatus, Babinsa (village supervisory military officers), posyandu (integrated health post) cadres, and the students. This collaboration aims to integrate academic programs with community empowerment at the village level.
Bojong Sector Police Chief, Police Inspector First Class (IPTU) Andun Sofyan, representing Purwakarta Resort Police Chief Assistant Commissioner (AKBP) Febri Nurzam, emphasized that the presence of the National Police in this agenda is a form of support for community-based health programs. According to him, synergy between educational institutions, local government, security forces, and residents is crucial to creating a healthy and productive environment.
During their PKL and KKN period, the students are expected to act as driving forces to educate residents about the importance of a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS). This education includes disease prevention steps and environmental sanitation maintenance to improve the quality of life of the local community.
This collaborative program is also in line with the target of the Purwakarta Regency Government's program, namely Purwakarta SEHATI. Through sustainable cross-sector collaboration, it is hoped that public awareness of health independence will increase, supported by active security and assistance from the police in the jurisdiction of the Bojong Sector Police.
