The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI) of Kediri City organized a running event titled KNPI Run 2026 on Sunday (26/7/2026). Located in the Tirtayasa Park area, the event, which was joined by hundreds of runners from Kediri and its surroundings, was held to commemorate the 53rd anniversary of KNPI.
Unlike typical running events, KNPI Run 2026 carried a special mission to preserve ancestral heritage. The committee incorporated cultural education elements by reintroducing the Kawi Kwadrat script to participants and attendees, as an effort to protect Kediri's local historical identity.
Through this collaboration of physical activity and cultural campaign, the younger generation is expected to not only have healthy bodies but also a high level of appreciation for local historical wealth. This innovative step by Kediri's youth proves that historical preservation can be packaged in an engaging, modern, and interactive way.
