MADIUN – The success of the "Padhang Mbranang 2026" art and technology festival has prompted the Madiun City Government to plan a similar agenda for the future. The Acting Mayor of Madiun, F Bagus Panuntun, expressed his commitment to holding this festival again in 2027 with a fresher and more cutting-edge digital concept.

During its three-day run in the Pahlawan Street Center (PSC) area, the festival is estimated to have drawn more than ten thousand visitors, with financial turnover reaching billions of rupiah. Padhang Mbranang successfully combined the beauty of art and the sophistication of technology through a number of attractive features, such as a Southeast Asian-level video mapping competition, 3D hologram fan installations, and light sensor games.

According to Bagus Panuntun, the interval until 2027 is intentionally set to adapt to the rapid development of digital technology. He hopes that the next edition of the festival will introduce the most advanced technological innovations to the wider public, ensuring Madiun remains relevant as a modern, digitally literate city.

On the other hand, Bagus also encouraged local people not to just be passive spectators. This is reflected in this year's video mapping competition, which was still dominated by participants from outside the region, with Madiun City only represented by students from SMAN 1 Madiun. Through various workshop programs that have been provided, he hopes that local talents can produce independent creative works to be showcased in the next edition.
