The results of a national survey released by Rumah Politik Indonesia reveal a positive trend regarding public optimism toward the cultural transformation process within the Indonesian National Police (Polri). This research highlights the high public expectation for the police institution to continue taking reformative steps to improve service quality.
The survey methodology covered 30 provinces in Indonesia, involving 1,200 respondents aged 17 and above, conducted from January 2 to 9, 2026. With a margin of error of 2.8 percent, data was collected through a combination of direct interviews and online questionnaires to obtain a representative picture of public perception.
Executive Director of Rumah Politik Indonesia, Fernando Emas, stated that the data indicates public trust is predicted to continue to rise. In detail, the accumulation of respondents who stated they were very optimistic, optimistic, and moderately optimistic about Polri's improvement steps reached a majority, while the proportion of skeptical respondents remained relatively small.
Fernando emphasized that this public optimism serves as crucial social capital for Polri. This public support is expected to drive the police institution to maintain consistency in implementing internal reforms, prioritizing transparency, and realizing a more humanistic and professional service across all regions of Indonesia.
