Stunting management remains a top priority in human resource development in Belitung Regency. To accelerate the reduction of stunting rates, lecturers from the DIII Nursing Study Program of the Belitung Campus, Poltekkes Kemenkes Pangkal Pinang, held a Community Service (PkM) program focusing on the digitalization of health workers.
The program, which took place in 2026, targeted 20 health workers and Family Companion Teams (TPK) in Batu Itam Village, Sijuk District. Through a two-day blended learning method, participants were equipped with the ability to utilize information technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to create more interactive health education content.
The Chairperson of the Activity, Septy Nur Aini, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep, explained that mastering technology in the era of AI agents is crucial for frontline health workers. According to her, the proper use of digital tools will help workers deliver nutritional and parenting information more creatively and in a way that is easily understood by mothers of toddlers and the wider community.
Before being implemented in Batu Itam Village, a similar initiative was also successfully implemented in Tanjung Binga Village. Poltekkes Kemenkes Pangkal Pinang hopes that the expansion of this training program will strengthen the capabilities of health workers in various areas of Belitung, so that monitoring children's growth and development can run more optimally and free from the threat of stunting.
