The Tegal Regency Government, through the Health Office, has officially implemented a digital innovation called KACANG BOGARES (Monitor and Prevent Stunting Together to Optimize Healthy Adolescent Generations). This innovative program targeting teenage girls was first implemented at SMAN 3 Slawi on Friday (31/7/2026) as a strategic step to break the chain of stunting from school age.

The KACANG BOGARES application is a simple digital-based breakthrough initiated by the Child and Adolescent Health Work Team of the Tegal Regency Health Office. This system is designed to individually monitor compliance with the consumption of Blood Supplement Tablets (TTD) in teenage girls, detect early symptoms of anemia, and facilitate interactive reproductive health education.

Acting Head of the Tegal Regency Health Office, Edy Sucipto, explained that addressing stunting requires progressive steps beyond routine programs. Through this platform, female students' compliance in consuming the TTD distributed every Friday can be monitored precisely. Edy hopes that this early intervention will prepare teenage girls to become healthy future mothers to give birth to a future generation free of stunting.

The development of this application also involves collaboration with academics to strengthen the monitoring system and provide health Q&A features. Through the integration of technology and mentoring from peer counselors at school, the government is optimistic that the target of reducing stunting prevalence to below 14 percent can be achieved soon.

Warm appreciation was also expressed by the Principal of SMAN 3 Slawi, Sunarni, who assessed that this synergy is very crucial for the health protection of adolescents. She emphasized that establishing a healthy lifestyle culture requires continuous guidance so that students understand the importance of fulfilling nutrition and preventing anemia to welcome a productive future.
