Well-known presenter Ruben Onsu has finally responded to rumors dragging his wife's name, Sarwendah, into allegations of pesugihan (black magic rituals for wealth) practices at Mount Kawi, Malang Regency. This speculation arose following a circulated interview video of a man claiming to be a traditional caretaker, who alleged that Sarwendah performed special rituals at the site.
Responding to the uproar on social media, Sarwendah has issued a firm clarification. She strongly denied all forms of mystical accusations and explained that her past presence at Mount Kawi was solely for the production of the Kakak Beradik Podcast program hosted by Jordi Onsu.
Although the family has provided an explanation, the issue continues to circulate in the public sphere, especially after testimony surfaced from someone claiming to be Sarwendah's former domestic worker. This phenomenon has drawn widespread public attention, as some still link the Ruben Onsu family's success to mystical matters.
On the other hand, the attorney for Ruben's family, Minola Sebayang, chose not to delve too deeply into the controversy. He views the current circulating issue as more of a social phenomenon related to public mystical beliefs, having no direct connection to the legal matters his side is handling.
