The homegrown Indonesian luxury hotel chain, Hotel Tentrem, successfully brought home a prestigious award at the Jogja Brand and Business Awards (JBBA) 2026 held in Yogyakarta on Wednesday (15/7/2026). This appreciation was given for the success of the hotel management under PT Hotel Candi Baru, a subsidiary of PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk, in implementing sustainable business concepts that have a positive impact on society.

In this event themed "Smartly Cultured, Sustainably Driven", Hotel Tentrem was deemed outstanding in blending Javanese traditions and local wisdom amidst the wave of modernization. The prestigious award was received directly by the Corporate General Manager of Hotel Tentrem Group, Christoporus Yulianto, alongside the Public Relations Supervisor of Sido Muncul Semarang, Septiana Nur Utami.

Christoporus Yulianto expressed his gratitude for the appreciation given to his team. He hopes that this achievement can motivate the entire management team to continue improving service quality while contributing to strengthening the positive image of Indonesia's tourism sector on the global stage.

The Governor of DIY, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, also provided important directives during the event. The Sultan emphasized the relevance of the classical Javanese philosophy "Tunâ Satak, Bathi Sanak" in today's digital era. According to him, the success of a business should not only be measured by financial gain alone, but also by how much trust has been built with the local community.

The organizers, initiated by Harian Jogja of the Bisnis Indonesia Group, designed this event to appreciate business actors who adhere to the Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana philosophy. The President Director of Harian Jogja, Arif Budisusilo, stated that modernization and economic progress must not sacrifice local cultural values and environmental preservation.

The entire judging process for this award was conducted strictly through independent data-based research and direct field verification by a team of journalists. This comprehensive evaluation focused on three main sectors: culture, education, and sustainable economy, to ensure the transparency and credibility of the final results.
