The Family Welfare Movement Mobilization Team (TP-PKK) of Jayapura Regency held a Free Health Check-up (PKG) program and provided special interventions for pregnant women in the Unurum Guay District on Tuesday (July 21, 2026). Carrying the theme SADAR (Check Yourself Regularly), this initiative is designed to foster a community habit of regularly monitoring their health conditions without waiting to fall ill.

Chairperson of the Jayapura Regency TP-PKK, Dewi Sartika Wonda, explained that this activity is a form of concrete collaboration with the Unurum Guay Puskesmas (Community Health Center) and the Jayapura Regency Health Office. This program is part of the national priority agenda to bring access to medical facilities closer to the community at the district level.

According to Dewi, preventive awareness still needs to be raised because early detection plays a crucial role in preventing various dangerous diseases. Through routine check-ups, potential health issues can be identified faster so that medical treatment can be administered immediately to minimize the risk of complications.

She also invited the residents in attendance to become information agents for their surrounding environment. It is hoped that this word-of-mouth socialization can expand the reach of the program's beneficiaries. In the future, TP-PKK is committed to strengthening cross-sector synergy so that these premium health services can reach more remote village areas.
