Firm aspirations were expressed by the community of Sidodadi Village, Penarik District, Mukomuko Regency, regarding the presence of an entertainment venue deemed to disturb public order. Residents are demanding concrete action from the local government to shut down the establishment's operations, as it is considered to have violated social norms and threatened the peace of the residential environment.
Supardi, a local community leader who is also an education activist, stated that activities at the entertainment venue have caused tangible disruptions to nearby residents. Ranging from noise pollution to safety risks posed by visitors often driving under the influence of alcohol, this situation is believed to create an unsupportive atmosphere for children's development and the educational process.
Furthermore, residents emphasized that this demand stems from disappointment over inconsistent enforcement of regulations. Previously, through a formal agreement with authorities, the venue's operations had been suspended. However, recently the business resumed operations unilaterally, sparking public outrage due to an alleged lack of coordination between the Village Government and the Village Consultative Body (BPD).
Residents hope that the Regent of Mukomuko along with the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) will take decisive and permanent legal action. This step is considered urgent to restore the residents' constitutional right to a healthy, safe, and orderly environment, while ensuring that the future education of the young generation in Sidodadi Village remains protected from the negative impacts of the entertainment venue.
