The Regent of Labuhanbatu, dr. Hj. Maya Hasmita, Sp.OG., M.KM., attended the Open Senate Session for the Period II Graduation of 2026 at the Deli Husada Deli Tua Health Institute (Inskes) in Deli Serdang Regency on Saturday (1/8/2026). The presence of the regional head underscores the government's commitment to encouraging the development of competent health human resources with high integrity.
In her speech, Regent Maya reminded the graduates that academic degrees carry a great moral responsibility to society. Amid rapid advancements in medical technology, she emphasized that healthcare services must continue to prioritize human values, empathy, and respect for patient dignity.
Furthermore, she encouraged new graduates to actively help address local health issues, such as stunting management and improving access to basic services. The Labuhanbatu Regency Government expressed its readiness to collaborate with alumni and academics to create better healthcare innovations.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Inskes Deli Husada, Drs. Johannes Sembiring, M.Pd., M.Kes., appreciated the presence of Regent Maya, who is also one of the institution's outstanding alumni. Johannes revealed that since 2008, as many as 1,065 graduates from this campus have successfully pursued careers abroad, including in Japan, Saudi Arabia, and Germany, proving the global competitiveness of local graduates.
The graduation ceremony was also attended by officials from relevant departments of the Labuhanbatu Regency Government and North Sumatra educational figures. The campus hopes that graduates will not only master technical medical skills but also strengthen foreign language proficiency and maintain work ethics to face competition on the international stage.
