Discussions regarding the mystery behind Mount Kawi have once again become a hot topic after spiritual practitioner Mbah Dimas revealed the phenomenon on the "Bisikan Gaib" (Mystical Whispers) program hosted by Robby Purba. Located in East Java, this site is indeed often associated with various spiritual motives, ranging from economic necessity and political ambition to instant efforts to acquire wealth.
During the dialogue, Mbah Dimas revealed the alleged involvement of a number of public figures, singers, and entrepreneurs who have visited the lower area of Mount Kawi. Although he did not mention specific identities, the clues he provided briefly caused tension in the studio.
Furthermore, he highlighted prevailing myths in society, such as the physical characteristics of a house belonging to a practitioner of pesugihan (wealth rituals), which is typically identified by the presence of a horse statue and continuous renovations. However, he also made an important clarification that not all visits to the area are negatively motivated, as the majority of pilgrims come purely to pray and respect ancestral traditions.
