The Yilan Children's Game Festival returned with extraordinary fanfare last weekend, specifically on July 4, 2026. This annual event immediately drew public attention, as evidenced by the attendance of over 20,000 visitors who crowded the venue on opening day to unwind amidst the hot weather.

Visitors were treated to various refreshing water rides, including a 30-meter adrenaline-pumping transparent slide. Beyond water games, the festival also offered world-class cultural attractions, ranging from mesmerizing acrobatic performances to the lively rhythms of African war drums that invited the audience to dance along to the music.

In addition to daytime excitement, this year's festival extended its operating hours until 9 p.m. The Yilan County Government hopes that the festival will encourage tourists to spend more time in the county.

Acting Yilan County Magistrate, Lin Mao-sheng, expressed optimism regarding the event's positive impact. He encouraged visitors to stay overnight to experience Yilan's vibrant nightlife, which is expected to significantly boost local economic growth during the summer holiday period.
